Temporary Traffic Regulation
Information on temporary traffic regulations during the 8th Pula Marathon on 18 and 19 September 2026
For the purposes of organising the 8th Pula Marathon, which will include children’s races on Friday, 18 September 2026, and the main 5.99 km, 10 km and 21 km races on Saturday, 19 September 2026, residents and visitors are hereby informed that special temporary traffic regulations will be in effect in the city of Pula.
The temporary traffic regulations will be coordinated by traffic police officers in cooperation with the event organiser’s stewarding service.
18 and 19 September 2026 — Arena Area
From 7:00 a.m. on Friday, 18 September until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, 19 September, all vehicle traffic will be prohibited on the following roads:
— Istarska ulica
— Trg Nimfej
— Amfiteatarska ulica
— Flavijevska ulica up to Trg na Mostu – DC 40
During this period, public city buses will be permitted to operate, except during the following times:
— 18 September, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
— 19 September, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
During these periods, Pulapromet bus services will be completely suspended in the affected area.
19 September 2026 — Main Races
Additional road closures and temporary traffic regulations along the routes of the main races will be in effect from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
During this period, traffic will be temporarily regulated or suspended on the following roads:
Šetalište Nella Milottija — Prolaz Nevenke Zacchigne — Flavijevska ulica to Trg na Mostu (DC 400) — Ulica 119. brigade from Ulica Starih statuta (DC 400) — Partizanski put to the intersection with Creska ulica — Riva — Flaciusova ulica — Arsenalska ulica — Bečka ulica — Ulica Sv. Polikarpa — Revelanteova ulica — Fižela — Ulica Maria Lussi — Leharova ulica — Anticova ulica — Laginjina ulica — Giardini — Carrarina ulica — Amfiteatarska ulica — Trg Nimfej — Arena.
The start and finish of all main races will be located in the Arena area, with the following starting times:
— 7:45 p.m. – Half Marathon Powered by Marina21
— 8:00 p.m. – 5.99 km Powered by DM
— 8:10 p.m. – Pulska Xica 10 km Powered by Twist ISO
In addition to the roads along the race routes listed above, access roads at intersections will also be partially and temporarily closed for short periods, solely while runners are passing, in order to ensure the safety of runners and all other road users.
During the races, wherever safety conditions permit, controlled crossing of the race route at intersections will be allowed, in accordance with the instructions of traffic police officers and authorised race officials, provided that there are no runners in the immediate vicinity.
Stewards and race officials will be positioned along the entire route and, in cooperation with traffic police officers, will be present at key locations to ensure the safe conduct of the races, guide participants and implement the temporary traffic regulations.
Pulapromet public transport services will operate in accordance with the temporary traffic regulations and the instructions of the traffic police.
We kindly ask all drivers and other road users to exercise extra caution, patience and understanding.
Residents and visitors are requested to comply with temporary traffic signs and follow the instructions of police officers and event stewards throughout the event.
